Norfolk County Sober Living

Structured sober living for men in recovery. Located in Quincy, MA. Norfolk County Sober Living offers two sober living homes with the necessary support and structure for those who are struggling with drug and alcohol addiction.

Benefits of Sober Living

In active addiction it is difficult to have meaningful relationships, sober living allows guests to begin creating new relationships with other sober members of the home and community. Although being in the comfort of your own home sounds nice our addiction wants us to be isolated and comfortable. Sober living is a great way to force guests outside of their comfort zone which helps create change and healthy sober connections. Sober living also has the necessary structure for someone in early recovery. Guests are required to follow certain rules and commitments on a weekly basis which helps them create a routine to build a foundation for their recovery. Sober living has a “House Manager” who oversees the home to ensure each guest is moving forward with their recovery along with making sure the home is a safe place clear of all drugs and alcohol. There are meetings held in the home on a weekly basis which helps create a brotherhood among the guests and to engage guests on their recovery. Each guest is also required to attend outside AA meetings along with finding an AA sponsor to help guide them along their recovery. Living in a sober living home reduces the risk of relapse and also provides unlimited resources to the addict or alcoholic learning to transition back into a healthy life style.
